Georgia Conservancy’s Spring Membership Drive
Georgia Conservancy members are the roots that firmly ground our causes and feed our successes. They are the voice the state legislature hears when we advocate for strong water conservation policies and fight roll-backs in environmental protection laws; they have made possible the conservation of thousands of acres of ecologically-diverse and valuable land; and they have volunteered hundreds of hours of their time to keep Georgia's outdoor spaces pristine.
Our members are the "key" to continuing this success.
So jump behind the wheel, and help us crank up our 2012 Membership Drive!
During our 2012 Membership Drive, you can help us grow membership and earn points for yourself by becoming a member, inviting your friends and family to become members, and completing some of the fun activities outlined below. The top point earners and member recruiters will be handsomely rewarded with prizes and recognition throughout the challenge and at our spring Membership Party! Our goal: 100 new members by Earth Day, April 22nd
How it works: After you complete any of the activities we've outlined below, click here and record your participation. Also be sure to check out the Membership Drive Toolkit we put together that has everything you need to reach your 1,000 point goal!
Activities:
- Become a member of the Sweetwater Society… earn 500 points- Host a Georgia Conservancy informational event … earn 400 points.
- Get a friend to become a new member or renew your membership … earn 350 points (per friend).*
- Go on one of our “Do It Yourself Trips” and send us a photo … earn 300 points.
- Upload a picture of you in Georgia Conservancy apparel ... earn 250 points.
- Attend a Georgia Conservancy Trip, Blueprints, Generation Green, or Land Conservation event… earn 250 points.
- Purchase items from our online store ... earn 200 points.
- Upload your photos or videos from GC trips or events to our website … earn 150 points.
- Tell us about your passion for the environment and why you’re a member of the Conservancy… earn 100 points.
- Contact your legislator and show support for an environmental issue you care about… earn 100 points.
- Fill out our member profile ... earn 100 points.
- Attend an REI Outdoor School event … earn 50 points.
- Use your membership discounts … earn 50 points.
- Join the Georgia Outdoor Stewards Meetup.com Group … earn 50 points.
- Suggest a trip or event on our Meetup.com page ... earn 50 points.
- Rate a Georgia Outdoor Stewards Meetup event you've attended ... earn 50 points.
- “Share” our Facebook posts (5 posts max)… earn 25 points each.
- “Like” our Facebook posts (5 “likes” max)… earn 25 points each.
- Tag the Georgia Conservancy in your Facebook status (5 tag max) ... earn 25 points.
- Forward e-Pano to your friends (10 forwards max) ... earn 25 pts.
- Watch a video on the Georgia Conservancy YouTube channel ... earn 25 points.
