Conservation Policy and Research Summer Fellow
Position: Part-time Summer Fellowship
Hours: 10-20 hours/week (not restricted to regular business hours)
Start Date: Flexible: Immediately, or at the latest June 2025
Location: Hybrid or remote, as preferred. Office located in Adair Park, Atlanta.

Compensation: $17-$23 per hour, commensurate with experience
The Georgia Conservancy is seeking a curious and detail-oriented Summer Fellow to support an ongoing research project investigating Georgia’s past, present, and future of statewide conservation action. The Fellow will investigate strengths and gaps in statewide conservation policy and programs, and conduct case studies on what enables successful conservation policy and programs in other states in the southeast and beyond. The deliverable of this Fellowship will be a report of findings to help inform Georgia Conservancy’s next steps in statewide conservation strategy. An ideal Fellow would be independently driven, organized, and excited about topics of natural resource conservation, preservation of agricultural and timber lands, policy levers for program implementation, and community resilience.
Sustainable Growth Planning Summer Fellow
Position: Part-time Summer Fellowship
Hours: 15-37.5 hours/week (not restricted to regular business hours)
Start Date: May 2025 (flexible as needed)
Location: Hybrid or remote, as preferred. Office located in Adair Park, Atlanta.

The Georgia Conservancy is seeking a curious, detail-oriented Summer Fellow to support the Sustainable Growth program team. The Fellow will support an array of ongoing planning projects, as well as independent research initiatives, all in support of Georgia Conservancy’s mission to support sustainable land use planning and implementation for communities statewide. Key job components include GIS mapping and analysis for a variety of program and research needs, as well as conducting various stages of community planning projects.
