Dr. Yoni Polack grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey, where he completed his formal education and earned his bachelor’s degree in English Literature. He later moved to Pittsburgh to pursue his dental degree before relocating to Brooklyn, where he completed a General Practice Residency and lived and worked for five years.

After meeting his soon-to-be wife, Alyson, and adopting their rescue puppy Ringo (widely regarded as the handsomest boy), Dr. Polack and Alyson moved to the Atlanta area at the start of 2021. Soon after, Dr. Polack purchased his own dental practice, Sugarloaf Signature Dentistry, and from the very beginning committed to making environmental stewardship a meaningful part of its mission.
Through the practice’s “Dentistry Doing Good” program, a portion of annual profits is donated to the Georgia Conservancy to support the preservation and protection of Georgia’s natural resources. In addition, their annual “Community Give Back Day” often brings Dr. Polack and his team to local sites, where they volunteer helping clean and preserve Georgia’s beautiful natural spaces, such as the Chattahoochee River, for future generations.
Environmental appreciation is also reflected inside the practice itself. Throughout the office, patients are welcomed by fourteen stunning photographs showcasing a variety of famous Georgia State Parks and waterfalls. These images highlight the remarkable landscapes found across the state and help create a calming, nature-inspired atmosphere while reminding both staff and patients of the natural beauty worth protecting.
Dr. Polack’s personal connection to Georgia’s outdoors continues to grow each year. He, Alyson, and Ringo have enjoyed visiting and camping at several Georgia State Parks, including Fort Mountain State Park, Black Rock Mountain State Park, and Amicalola Falls State Park. He and Alyson have also enjoyed kayaking trips down the Chattahoochee River—with Ringo enthusiastically volunteering to stay home for those particular adventures.
Interestingly, Dr. Polack’s inspiration to support conservation began during an unexpected moment while studying for dental school exams. Reading outside on a covered balcony during a heavy rainstorm, he paused from studying to listen to the steady rhythm of the falling rain. In that quiet moment, he was struck by nature’s enduring power and calming beauty. It reminded him to step away from daily demands and reconnect with what truly matters—life, peacefulness, health, and the natural world that supports them.
Today, Dr. Polack remains committed to giving back to Georgia’s natural environment, which gives so much to his patients, his friends and family, and himself. Through efforts such as supporting the work of the Georgia Conservancy and sharing his enthusiasm for the outdoors, Dr. Polack hopes to play a small but meaningful role in preserving Georgia’s natural beauty for generations to come.
