Macon Weekend Social

Longleaf Distilling Co. in Macon

What to Expect

Join Georgia Conservancy for a relaxed Friday evening gathering at Longleaf Distilling Co. in Downtown Macon! This social will kick off our Ocmulgee/Macon Weekend and give Georgia Conservancy members, supporters, partners, and friends an opportunity to meet one another, connect with our staff, and spend an evening celebrating conservation and community in Middle Georgia. Whether you are joining us for Saturday’s Ocmulgee Mounds hike, Sunday’s Ocmulgee River paddle, or simply want to spend an evening with Georgia Conservancy, we would love to have you.

Longleaf Distilling Co. is an especially fitting place to begin the weekend. The Macon-based distillery takes its name and inspiration from the longleaf pine ecosystem and has incorporated longleaf restoration directly into its business mission. Longleaf states that every bottle sold supports the planting of a longleaf pine in Middle Georgia, and the company describes its tasting room as both a community gathering place and part of Downtown Macon’s revitalization. The venue offers locally produced spirits, craft cocktails, seasonal small plates, and an in-house bottle shop.

We hope you’ll join us for an easygoing evening of conversation, drinks, and connection before we head outdoors for the rest of the weekend. This is a separate event from Saturday’s Ocmulgee Mounds Day Hike and Sunday’s Ocmulgee River Paddle, and each experience requires its own registration. Registration for the mixer is free; attendees should plan to purchase their own drinks and food unless otherwise noted.

If you have questions about this event, please contact Shaundon Moore, Stewardship Trips Manager, Georgia Conservancy , at smoore@gaconservancy.org .
