The Georgia Conservancy is excited to welcome two new members to the Board of Trustees: Chris Kirby and Jennifer McNelly. Chris and Jennifer were voted on to the Board during our September 2025 Board Meeting.
Chris Kirby
Chris Kirby joined the Georgia Conservancy Board of Trustees in September 2025. He is currently Director of Business Development for Paladin EnviroTech, which manages the disposal and recycling of surplus, end-of-life, and obsolete electronics equipment. Chris is a seasoned sustainability and environmental services executive with over 17 years of experience driving growth in data destruction, asset recovery, and green technology initiatives. He has built a reputation for delivering robust, compliant solutions to large corporate enterprises and government agencies alike, consistently aligning operational excellence with environmental
responsibility.
Chris lives in Buford, Georgia.
Jennifer McNelly
Jennifer McNelly joined the Georgia Conservancy Board of Trustees in September 2025. She currently serves as the Vice President of Environmental Affairs at Georgia Power Company. In her 24 years with the Southern Company, she has held various management roles in the power generation, environmental, and technical support businesses. Jennifer moved to her current role in 2023 and leads the Environmental Affairs organization responsible for environmental compliance, permitting, and strategy for all Georgia Power operations activities. Additionally, her team is responsible for environmental conservation,
stewardship, and stakeholder engagement.
Jennifer lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
