Stephanie Casebier grew up exploring the creeks and bamboo forests of Marietta, Georgia—early adventures that sparked a lifelong love for the outdoors and a passion for building community. Now, as a Philanthropy Officer at the Georgia Conservancy, Stephanie brings that same spirit of curiosity and connection to her work, helping donors see their role in protecting Georgia’s most cherished landscapes.
With a background in public health and a Master’s in Epidemiology and Health Education, Stephanie understands the deep connections between people and place. She’s a firm believer that meaningful relationships—and compelling stories—are the foundation of lasting conservation impact. At Fernbank Museum of Natural History, she helped launch a dynamic annual fund video that deepened donor engagement through storytelling. It’s that creative approach to philanthropy that she’s excited to bring to the Georgia Conservancy.
Stephanie is especially inspired by the Conservancy’s coastal programs and looks forward to helping these initiatives grow. “From our salt marshes to our mountain trails, Georgia is full of beauty and biodiversity,” she says. “Connecting people to that is powerful.”
Outside of work, Stephanie is a passionate mental health advocate, actor, and storyteller. She believes the arts—and the stories we share—are essential tools for change. You’ll often find her painting, baking, or curled up with a good book or podcast. She keeps a running list of favorite quotes on her phone; one that guides her work is: “Ships that wait for perfect winds never sail.”
Stephanie’s approach to fundraising is guided by values of authenticity, kindness, and curiosity. “I believe generosity shapes the world,” she says. “I’m here to help others see how their giving can help shape a more resilient, thriving Georgia.”
