SAGE: Stewards & Advocates for Georgia's Environment
SAGE (Stewards and Advocates for Georgia’s Environment) is a new community within the Georgia Conservancy, bringing together women who care deeply about protecting our state’s natural resources and want to be more engaged, informed, and connected in that work.
SAGE is a community within Georgia Conservancy that brings women of all ages together around a shared commitment to Georgia’s natural places and communities. Rooted in Georgia and connected to conservation, SAGE creates opportunities to explore, connect, learn, serve, advocate, and give through experiences that bring women closer to the places and issues shaping our state. Whether through a hike, a conversation with a conservation expert, a stewardship project, an advocacy opportunity, or philanthropy, SAGE offers meaningful ways to get involved—no conservation expertise or full-time outdoor lifestyle required. Come when you can, participate where you’re interested, and bring what you have to offer.
- Get outside: Experience Georgia’s rivers, coasts, forests, parks, and other special places through hikes, paddles, and outdoor experiences.
- Learn and engage: Hear from conservation leaders, planners, policy experts, and others shaping Georgia’s future.
- Serve and steward: Care for Georgia’s lands, waters, and communities through hands-on projects.
- Find your voice: Understand the policies and decisions affecting Georgia and discover meaningful ways to advocate.
- Give with purpose: Support Georgia Conservancy’s conservation priorities through collective philanthropy and opportunities to direct resources where they can make an impact.
SAGE is intentionally intergenerational, bringing together women with different backgrounds, experiences, professions, and perspectives around a shared interest in Georgia and its natural future.
