What to Expect
On May 10, join Generation Green, the young professionals group of the Georgia Conservancy, for a day paddle on the beautiful Lower Etowah River. This trip is designed for those who want to get outside, connect with others who care about Georgia’s future, and spend a relaxed but active day on one of northwest Georgia’s most scenic rivers. The paddle follows a 6-mile section of the Etowah from Hardin Bridge to Neel’s Landing, a popular novice-friendly stretch known for its rural scenery, gentle shoals, and historic Native American fish weirs.
Thanks to support from Generation Green this trip is being offered for free to all participants (ages 25-40), which includes boat/gear rentals and shuttle service for the day. Participants must bring their own lunch, snacks, and water.
